The Purpose
The purpose of The Marriage and Family Resource Center, Inc. is to serve individuals, couples, and families in order to restore marriage and family as the foundation of society by re-establishing God's Biblical plan for marriage and family. Services include mentoring, education, and providing resources in the areas of marriage preparation, enrichment, and crisis intervention; parenting; financial planning; quality education; quality childcare; health/fitness; and time/priority management. Trained mentors provide lay counseling/mentoring services based on client needs and mentor expertise. Classes, teachings, resources, and referrals to outside agencies are offered based on client needs.
The Marriage and Family Resource Center is based on Titus 2. In these verses, God calls us to walk along side each other, supporting each other in our daily walks by “teaching young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands so that no one will malign the word of God. Similarly, encouraging the young men to be self-controlled, in everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness, and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned.”
